Recent research has proven that two comon foot problems, planter fasciitis and neuromas, respond quite favorably to a minor freezing procedure. The initial affect is to decrease nerve sensation, and therefore pain to the heel or nerve mass. Over a period of about 6 months the nerve regenerates, and in the majority of cases, the pain relief remains. This is a very simple and essentially painless procedure performed in our office.
