Bone Density Testing

Osteoporosis, or low bone density, is a common problem affecting post menopausal woman.  Osteoporosis can greatly impact the ability of bone to heal from injury and increase the risk for fractures.  At the Foot & Ankle Institute we utilize a GE ultrasonic system for bone density screening if osteoporosis is suspected.  This is a quick, simple, and painless test that can help assist in a patient’s recovery.
